Posted on 26-11-2010 at 10:07 Hello from Portugal  First, let me say this is the best internet station. I have been listening for almost 2 years now. I notice some changes with Live 9 service. What is the relationship with Addict Radio? Is this your new project? It seems when I play your stream (http://www.live9.fr/ecoute/192.m3u) in my media player the url changes to http://stream1.addictradio.net/addictrock.mp3 and it is only 128kps not 192kps like before and what is showing on your live9 web site. I can hear this reduced quality when I listen to the station on my hifi. If possible can you please make the stream 192kps again to bring back the quality of the audio. Keep up the good work and thank you for a great station

Posted on 28-11-2010 at 18:15 Hello, Here are the answers given in the others topics: Live9 and Electra Radio now become Addict Radio, With 2 more streams: Live9 becomes Addict Rock Electra becomes Addict Alternative Addict Star and Addict Lounge are Added. The Website is still under construction, but the music is the most important after all. 2 more streams requires brandwith, maybe that's why the is no 192Kbps stream any more. I agree with you, the quality is lower and we can hear it. (well, maybe not on laptop.) Like you, i hope the 192Kbps stream will be back. |

Posted on 30-11-2010 at 15:23 Thanks for replying tranquill64. Yes the music is most important and hopefully they'll increase the stream back to 192kbps. 128bps is just too low for decent quality. I can really hear the compression on my hifi and the distortion it brings. |

Posted on 12-12-2010 at 12:27 Hello guys! In fact the sound quality has decreased since AddictRadio.  Why? - Much of the audience does not hear the difference. - 192k is 1.5 times more than 128k of bandwidth. For example : with 2 listeners in 192k -> we can have 3 listeners in 128k. Now we can imagine an alternative that is paid premium accounts but it has not please everyone... and I think that discredit our project. Listeners may think we want to make money on their backs.  So if there is demand we may consider a stream 192 through donations... we can plan it...
